Le Pommier d’Argent is one of the most beautiful farms in the Gatineaus, with its sprawling lush greenery, bushes and flowers. It is a magnificent place where nature is in harmony with the art of refined and flavorful French cuisine. (Click on photos to enlarge!)

Your hosts, Philippe Salmon, raised in the kitchens of the Chateau de la Loire region of France, and Thérèse Desjardins, business administrator of the enterprise and native of the Outaouais region, invite you to meander through this website in order to learn more about them. This site is constantly evolving and further developments and special activities will be added in time. Come visit us often!

In September 2001, we achieved one of our biggest dreams: to live in harmony with nature and in total peace and tranquility. We now invite you to come and share this immense pleasure with us by visiting our game animals (in season) and then tasting a luscious rustic meal prepared by Philippe with delicacy and expertise.

Indeed, it is our goal to provide you with the opportunity to relax with your friends, family or colleagues in a beautiful, warm and inviting setting. Our staff will offer you a warm welcome and provide you with professional and personalized service. It is a place to leave the world behind and allow yourself to savor our five course table d’hôte.

The dining room, attached to our home, is set up to entertain one or several groups to a maximum of 36 guests very comfortably. It is ideal for cozy marriages, celebrations of noteworthy opportunities between friends, family and colleagues or for conferences or business meetings at lunchtime or in the evening.

Philippe will prepare gastronomic delights for you out of ingredients grown on our farm and in the region; his specialty is the preparation of game. A choice of other meats or fish is also offered. Please consult an example of our "Evening Menu" on this site. Please note that other choices are also available and arrangements can be made for alternate selections when you make your reservations. In order to maintain a regular high-quality service to our patrons, each table must select the same menu.

We are certified as a Table champêtre^TM (Country-Style Dining or Harvest Table) by the Fédération des Agricotours du Québec since January 2003, a first in the Gatineau region!

We have a farming operation, recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture, where we raise rabbits, Barbary ducks, guinea-fowls, Boer goat (native to South Africa), pheasants and grain fed chickens (capons). Other species will be added in future years. You can buy fresh eggs at the farm. Oh! It is so good to eat fresh farm eggs when hens are well fed!!!

Open evenings from 6:00 pm:

From Monday to Thursday – a group of 12 persons minimum is required, or could be less if other small groups have already booked.
From Friday to Sunday – a group of 6 persons minimum is required, or could be less if other small groups have already booked.
